Whatever you would like to talk about.
45 minutes, 90 minutes.
The key to me is when someone is passionate about a topic, that's when you're going to get the best presentations.
It's not me telling them what to present on.
I come up with a theme every year.
I come up with a one-word idea for what their talks might encompass.
Like this year's theme was Inspire, which kind of wrapped up all the previous themes of MaxDoc.
But I give them that, and...
Not everybody adheres to it, which is cool, and that's fine.
But I do want them to come up with a topic that gives them a thrill.
Like I said, those are often the best talks, and that's what I want.
I want someone to come at me with a topic, not come at them with one.
So anyway, how do I come up with new ones?
You know, the last few years, the new presenters have come out of MaxDocs
own attendees.
They've built up, well, I don't want to say the courage, they've built up the, you know, maybe they were a little shy about presenting, maybe they weren't quite sure they could be a presenter, but with a little encouragement from myself and other presenters and other attendees, they've taken a chance, submitted a talk, and very often that talk is accepted and they find themselves on stage at Maxtalk.
I think that's great.
I think it's fantastic to have folks come from within the community because they understand what MaxDoc's community is, they understand what their interests are, and they often knock it out of the park to the point where people purposely ask for them to speak again the next year.
That's my wife's rule.
I can't lose money with McStack.
