to feel that, you know, folks welcomed you and that you felt relaxed and at home is exactly what I wanted it to be.
And, you know, I think that's one of the keys when you do something like this is to put on an event that you would like to attend.
Well, once we got past that first year, which, again, was put together very quickly, spur of the moment.
But again, it was something that I would have wanted to attend.
But once you got past that first year...
just the sheer amount of behind the scenes work that goes into running it every year.
Setting up the venue, attempting to form partnerships and or sponsorships with companies, which I've evolved.
into more partnerships over the years rather than sponsorships.
I found that that works a lot better because again, we talked about going down rabbit holes here.
Partnerships work better because they're much more involved in the weekend than a sponsor is.
Sponsors are happy to just throw a little money your way and you promote their product and then they move on.
But a partner
someone that is invested in what you're doing is going to be there and be involved and want to participate themselves.
And so that's why I've kind of evolved to that throughout the years.
But still, it's it's a lot of work behind the scenes, arranging all that and just simple things, simple, stupid things like the T-shirt every year is something that I have a great time designing.
