Everyone knows for Andy Reid's entire career, if there's any criticism of him, he leans to the past a lot.

And so that's why we were all fascinated to see how the season would go.

And in this case, the trend in the league was to be under center and running the ball in the first week of the season.

It was the most under center on early down week since 2017 in the NFL, and the Chiefs were right there with you.

You know, I was looking at them in this game, so they were 49% under center on early downs.

That's the highest in an opener for them since 2015.

Different era, right?

Back then, we're talking two backs, and the league was different.

Andy Reid's offense was different.

So I thought that was very encouraging.

You know, they were...

you know, not coming out throwing.

They were, you know, kind of 50-50 pass early on on the early downs of the game, which last year they've been 68%, 67% leaning way into it.

So it totally made sense and was coherent with them spending on the running back and having the quarterback coming back off of an injury.

So this is like exactly what you probably hoped they would do, right?

I know one thing.

When you have something working, you do that.

So I don't think Andy Reid's going to suddenly be like, you know, that worked really well.

Let's become pass happy, right?

I think if you can run the ball like that, you're going to run the ball.
