I said, defend yourself.

And so there's a comment in there from him about feeling like he wasn't carrying him to the same degree and all of that.

But I think the vast majority of people would love to have him as their quarterback.

Yeah, I think there's going to be changes.

I don't have any inside information.

They have not told us anything.

But I would imagine that they wouldn't want to announce changes before the ceremony because it would then make that be what people are talking about.

And that would be unfair to Larry Fitzgerald and Drew Brees and Luke Kuechly and Roger Craig, these guys that are going in.

But I was personally embarrassed to have Belichick fall short when he was clearly the best candidate of that.

And what we found out was that in the last couple of years, they've made the selectors pick candidates

with senior candidates, coach candidate, and a contributor, which is like Robert Kraft or somebody like that who's not a player or a coach.

and pick three out of the five on your ballot.

And what we found out is there were some people on the committee who were so overly invested in the seniors getting in because they felt like if those guys missed, they'd never have a chance again, that there were some people voting just for all seniors to try to get one in.

And of course, that left Belichick without enough votes.

So to me, that type of thing can't happen.

Clearly, the panel has to change how they vote, but I think the panel itself

And my sense was that the panel itself could change too, and so we'll see.

I think it's done for a head coach because of his age and because for most of these teams,

the people in the building are not going to be signing up and encouraging to sign Belichick as their coach because he takes all the control and it makes it harder for those guys and he creates walls in the building.

And he's an old school kind of Parcellsian coach, a little bit of a fear-based type of coaching, which Sean Payton is pulling off right now.
