Personal knowledge management is a fairly new, I would say, sub-niche of productivity.
Basically, you've got all these notes and ideas.
How do they connect?
And I think a lot of people get stuck in that big graph view and looking at all the connections, you know, murder board style.
This is everything I've ever created and how it connects.
That's kind of pointless to me.
The creativity flywheel framework that I alluded to earlier, the key piece of that is the last piece.
You create something from the component pieces.
Yeah, that polarization, that's a good way to describe it.
Really, it was just me getting frustrated with the two extremes that I see online and sort of a general uneasiness, like there's got to be some middle ground.
And I think you kind of described a little bit already the two ends of the spectrum.
There's the people who are all in with AI.
These are like the LinkedIn AI bros, like Claude is making me $100,000 a year on its own.
I don't have to touch it.
Right and then there are the people who are the the purists and this is I think a lot of creators because We think that our ability to create is we want to believe it's unique We want to believe it's special and I believe that that it is but it's also I think a bit of a formula We can get into kind of like my whole history with this But at one point I actually thought that I was not creative that I just didn't have that creative gene So I had to kind of wrestle through that and realize that oh if I collect good dots
then my brain is kind of connecting that stuff and there's a good output that comes from that.
And so I think there's a middle ground where we are using AI to do the things that don't require us specifically in the creative process.
But then also we're protecting what actually we bring to the table, which is our taste and our voice.
I think that's probably a pretty good intro.
Let me know where you want to go from there because there's a million different directions.
