Down there, totals will be less because it'll be starting as rain.
Muriatic power outages, bone-chilling cold, wind chills down at or below zero later tonight into Monday morning.
By Monday afternoon, the sun will come out.
We'll have some sun tomorrow afternoon.
That'll help with the roadways a bit.
And then by Monday, we'll be up above freezing by a few degrees.
Got our first flake slide here on the Outer Banks of the East here at Kill Devil Hills, down to Kitty Hawk, up to Duck.
At the very, very beginning of what's going to be a long 24 hours of snow, heavy snow at times, and wind gusts over 50 miles an hour.
The Atlantic has churned up quite a bit since yesterday with the increased wind.
By the way, the water temperature here is in the mid-40s.
Down in Buxton and Hatteras, it's in the mid-60s.
So down there, temperatures are a little bit above freezing.
They may actually just get rain for a while, and then they'll change over to snow this evening.
We're expecting all snow here right now.
Today's temperature is absurdly cold for Tulsa, 9 or 10 degrees.
That is 40 degrees colder than average.
As far as the roadway goes, roadways, there's going to be little if any melting today, even though we have daylight because it's so cold.
And the temperatures stay cold into tomorrow.
Now, we've got another batch of snow coming in this evening and tonight into tomorrow morning.
That's why we're still thinking.
