folks like her saying these things, is you've often said that it creates the permission structures for other people to defect from the tribe.

I mean, after the Trump administration, and I get anyone who's like, Miles, you served in that administration.

I didn't serve Donald Trump.

I went there to serve you inside the government, saw that the man was a lunatic.

But I learned firsthand that it took someone coming forward to get my colleagues to come forward.

Everyone in that administration that I interacted with, except for Stephen Miller, everyone,

thought the president was crazy at best or thought he was a danger to the fabric of our republic at worst, which is what Jim Mattis said to me one day after a White House Situation Room meeting, a danger to the fabric of our republic.

But you know what?

Hardly any of those people spoke out.

Until a few of us took the leap, and then a few more took the leap.

And then in October before the 2020 election, Jake Tapper said it was the largest group of ex-officials in American history who had turned against a president who they served under.

The domino has to be...

pushed somewhere.

So I don't love Marjorie Taylor Greene, but if she's pushing a domino, if Rogan's pushing a domino, if these podcasters from the MAGA movement are pushing that domino and getting more people to come forward, I think we have to amplify it.

And then also, as you said, Katie, do something about it.
