But most importantly, he is pushing back in the just quintessential Don Lemon way with wit, humor, substance, intelligence. And looking damn fine while he's at it. But all kidding aside, there was the announcement of some more arrests concerning what Pam Bondi is calling some militia-style attack, which is just bullshit.
Y'all know that I don't mince words here ever. And because of that, I think it's equally as important that we take that energy that we all had, our outrage that we felt when Don was taken into custody alongside the esteemed and incredible journalist Georgia Fort. And we make sure that we take that energy and carry it forward. As I mentioned when I was filling in for Don on Friday, there's a long road ahead. Even if there is a successful outcome, having to fight the Department of Justice, which I call the biggest law firm in the world, is not an easy task. Even when you have the amazing Abby Lowell, kick-ass criminal and civil attorney on your side, it is not easy. Even when the facts are on your side and the law is on your side, the whole purpose of this is to try to keep us down.
And when you are the criminal defendant in a case being brought by the federal government, it's important to keep your wits about you and to be at least five steps ahead. I know that's what we know that Don does, but he's going to need your continued support. So make sure you are subscribed. Make sure you're liking. Make sure you're boosting. Let's get those thumbs up. Let's get those hearts going. Did you know that at least eight further federal prosecutors have quit the U.S. Attorney's Office in Minnesota? They had an exodus a few weeks ago after the murders of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretty, after the DOJ was trying to force them to investigate the widow, the wife of Renee Nicole Good. And after they, as in the DOJ, ran interference to not allow local and state investigators to be a part of the murder investigations of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Preddy, six of the top federal prosecutors in that office in Minnesota said, peace out. We have ethics. We have morals. We understand the rule of law. We're not going to be a part of this. We're not going to be co-conspirators with the Bondi DOJ in this bullshit.
And then just announced last night on the news, at least eight more federal prosecutors have said we're not doing this. So considering the fact that that office only started with about 30 odd federal prosecutors, not staff, but the lawyers themselves. And now we're hearing that at least 14 have now quit instead of standing alongside the Trump Gestapo legal arm of this administration. It should give you some hope. that we are doing the right thing with our voices and our pressure. I also know that there's been amazing footage out of Portland. There's been horrific acts in Portland by the Trump regime with his immigration agents, but we've also seen people fighting back and this is what we need to have happen.
