Uh, I've covered ice operations firsthand, as you guys know that.
That I've covered it firsthand. I've been in Chicago and you know what happened to me in Minnesota. I have stood on those streets, I've watched those agents work, I've asked questions and I've documented what was happening. And as you know, as you all know. I was arrested for doing so, for doing my job. So I know firsthand just how quickly these encounters can really escalate and become deadly, as we know. Because it's fact, because it has happened. Now what happened to me is obviously nothing compared to someone being shot, to someone losing their life. I'm still here, regardless of how the government has treated me, no matter how unfairly I think it is, I'm still here. Some people are not. But having experienced federal immigration enforcement from the other side, there's one thing.

Just for the next few minutes, because this is a really important story. I don't want this to get buried and people to it for this to become normal at all, because this is not normal. You know how many are dead? Eight are dead. Three of those killed were American citizens. I mean It it's it's awful. And there have been at least fifteen additional incidents where immigrants, uh immigration agents.
Opened fire. But did not hit anyone. So it seems that they're trigger happy, in my opinion. Now just think about that for a second. We're talking about federal immigration enforcement. Twenty-one shot. Eight people are dead. And maybe that will be updated as we get more records and information. We don't know how transparent the government is being about records as well. So We can't really in this day and age Even pretend That the government is being honest with us. We just don't know. And now there's another man whose name has been added to that list. And you know we say say it out loud. It's Wilbur. Raphael. Garces Perez, okay? This is him. He is a twenty eight year old. Venezuelan. And on Sunday afternoon. He was out delivering food for DoorDash in Austin, Texas.
His wife apparently didn't want him to work that day. And he went anyway because he needed to take care of his family. He has a strong work ethic. And then around 1230, she gets a phone call. Wilbur screaming that he has been shot. Now I know that because I had a similar phone call. Trying to reach My husband. when I was being taken into custody. And then the call cuts out. Now imagine being his wife. Your husband leaves the house to deliver somebody's lunch. Hours later he's calling you saying that he has been shot. Now I I just want to show you now the aftermath of this shooting. This is a body cam footage, body cam footage from Austin police showing Wilbur in his vehicle after the shooting, just before he was arrested.
