Well, you know, we've really lost sight of this principle that you defend folks' right to First Amendment protected speech, even if you vehemently disagree with them.
And look, I agree with Don on a lot of things, but there should be fellow conservatives out there saying, you know what?
Now, you don't have to agree with my politics or my opposition to Donald Trump to say, you know what?
And the only thing that gives me heart about what happened today is Don has become a symbol now.
Well, and I'll tell you something else at the beginning of last year, it seemed like everyone was scared shitless to say anything about the president, even people who'd criticized him before, you know, and, and Hollywood types who'd criticized him before a lot of them had gone quiet and credit to Jane Fonda.
She launched something called the committee for the first amendment.
She resuscitated an organization that existed during the red scare and McCarthyism in the 1950s.
And she organized hundreds of celebrities to come on board and stand again for first amendment rights.
in this moment.
Because when everyone's quiet, the first person who speaks up, they get punished royally.
But the more people who speak up and speak up, the harder it is
to do anything to get back against them because you've then got an army defending those principles and defending dissent.
So that is what Jane Fonda is doing and rallying influencers to go support Don.
That is what Don has done in the journalism profession.
That's what we all need to do to go protect Don, to go protect Georgia Ford, and to show that we're not going to stand for this.
