The shooter's mother, police say, was an employee at one time of the school.
We now know the suspect went by two names, identified as Robin and Robert Westman.
Based on court documents, the shooter was transgender and, quote, identifies as female and wanted her name to reflect that identification.
It was.
his mother, who signed off on that court document for a change in name.
Now, as we wait to learn more about the identity of the shooter, I want to bring in family therapist Thomas Kirsting and former CIA analyst Buck Sexton.

As the police have acknowledged, there was a YouTube manifesto video uploaded simultaneous with the shooting.
It has now been taken down.
from YouTube, but not before many could refute it.
Assuming its authenticity, the shooter, Robert Westman, in that video displayed the pages of his manifesto and said things like, I'm full of pain.
I've been suicidal for quite some time, but I don't want to go out on my knees.
I don't want to bow.
