And I would say that's also a message that needs to get out to leaders in other cities across the country as they're pushing back against Trump's deployments, because he's not going to be sympathetic to messaging about crime.
He's going to say, I can send whoever I want into those cities.
But I'll tell you what Donald Trump is sensitive about.
He's sensitive about messaging around the economy.
He's sensitive about money.
So if we start seeing more and more pictures of empty restaurants in Washington, D.C., and if he deploys troops to Chicago, pictures of empty restaurants in Chicago, that's going to be something that starts to affect Donald Trump's psyche is that people aren't spending money anymore in America and people are scared to go out.

That's the place where I think it's going to have an impact on him.
Now, I'm not saying that that makes any of it right, Don.
I mean, I think that that's perverse that we've got to think about how could we possibly appeal to Donald Trump to stop doing these deployments in American cities.
But that's one of those things he's going to have to contend with is the hollowing out of commerce in these cities where troops are deployed.
And you can certainly see it and you can feel it when you're here in Washington.
