Now what do I think will happen?
Look, they already did this play, Don, with Iran.
They did this before the strikes against the nuclear facilities where they acted like they were going to strike.
They did a head fake that they were backing off and giving diplomacy a chance when really what they were doing was preparing to strike.
this feels very similar right now it feels very similar because what's happening is the administration has threatened that they're going to go strike iran and part of it's because of the protesters now they're in negotiations they've said you know there may be a breakthrough there may not there's conversations and they're backing off donald trump just said today diplomacy is his first option that makes me think don
that what he's actually doing is preparing to engage in some kind of strike.
Now, what I will say about Donald Trump is I don't believe this administration is prepared for or interested in a land invasion of a foreign country.
I don't think they're prepared or interested in 50,000, 100,000, 200,000 US troops because Donald Trump is terrified of the optic.
He wants the power, but not the optic of soldiers dying.
But here's the dilemma.
You try to go do something like this and just have it be airstrikes and you lose control of the situation.
And pretty soon you're forced to put troops in on the ground.
And that is the folly of them engaging in this sort of saber rattling.
And the last thing I'll say is this was our worry in the first Trump administration.
