Like I feel like my parents don't pick up the phone as much as I would to check notifications.
My dad maybe like once a week as opposed to my mom who's like maybe once a day.
No, probably a bit more than that because I'm the most important person in their lives.
Of course.
but you've also got a difference in sense of humor.
Like they don't understand the gifts and the memes.
They don't know how to send photos maybe.
And then also as well, like the difference in tone as well.
Like my dad like will respond like, okay, full stop.
And it's like, oh my God, I would never, I would never have the audacity to send anyone that, let alone my daughter.
And then when you bring all those dynamics together with that like intergenerational
kind of grouping, maybe there's a bit of anticipatory anxiety around like how that generation will react to certain things, whether they're going to have to be filled in once a week when they do look at that group chat.
It's just like makes the dynamics a lot more difficult, but that's what we do for the people we love, isn't it?
Gotta love those dynamic family chats.

And imagine like a family argument going down in one of those.
That would be...

I reckon it's just kind of like reading the room similar to being in person.
