Yes, it's harder and we've talked about the detriments of that but kind of thinking like, okay, well, I'm participating in this social situation with a bunch of different personalities.
Like how would I behave offline?
Would I steal the conversation away to myself and like constantly just talk or would I give space for other people to –
contribute their own stories and then maybe there's like sensitivities too around like different life milestones like maybe there's like a pregnancy and someone's going through IVF at the same time it's like how do you announce that while also being sensitive to the fact that someone is going through something difficult like there's so much nuance there and I think like as long as you're self-aware enough and compassionate enough to like practice I
ways to do that.
And maybe like withholding some sort of information maybe, or language, like just being maybe a little bit more self-editing in a good way that can make other people in that group chat feel more comfortable.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's it.
And you will get it wrong sometimes, mostly in the group chat situation because it's a lot harder to get it right.
Yeah.
But you can resolve that, like pick up the phone or see them in person and give them a hug or just, yeah, really be honest and try and just do what you normally do in real life in terms of reading the situation and caring for the people that you care about.
Maybe something I've seen like on socials and I have someone who works with me who does this, they do like a weekly sync where they all send in like a minute-long voice note because you get that like tone and emotion and it's not like you're getting them –
sporadically throughout the week and you've got to like drop everything and listen to these voice notes.
It's like, cool.
Every Sunday afternoon, we all do a week wrap and we share like our highs and our lows.
And it can only be like max, like 60 seconds or whatever, like a bit of a challenge.
And we all just listen to each other's kind of rundown on where we're at.
I love that.
Yeah.
