And then half the time I'd forget to do it, or I wouldn't check it off.
And then I'd feel guilt and shame.
And I reached a point where I was like, you know what?
Why would I do this?
Because I want something to invigorate me.
I want something
to make me feel alive and feel motivated and disciplined towards all these goals that I have.
And sure, meditation is great if you want to calm your nervous system and clear your head.
But I'm not really trying to do that in this phase of my life.
Yeah.
I have stuff to do.
I want something active that can also take advantage of visualization and all these different practices that really help you reprogram your mind.
But I just wasn't resonating with meditation.
And I was also really busy at the time.
I was working like four jobs trying to make ends meet.
I didn't have time to carve out 20 minutes out of my morning.
I needed something that I could habit stack.
So around that same time, I remember the moment, Nicole.
It was kind of crazy.
I was sitting in my 200 square foot apartment in London.
