I did.
I did
think about a shift.
We are going to take a quick break.
And when we come back, we'll have more with Professor Jill Satina of Texas A&M.
Welcome back.
Municipal bonds.
So the story I wrote this past week really digs into that.
I talked to a number of retirees and one who was quoted in the story saying,
who simply do not own bonds at all.
They have completely lost faith in bonds because bonds have not done very well over the last decade or so, writ large, not even looking at individual different types of bonds.
And so I've talked to people who are in equities and cash and have a lot in cash and cash specifically being in money market funds.
But of course, the risk of having
your money in a money market fund or a CD or high yield savings account is that those rates will go down when the Fed lowers rates.
And you can't right now might be a moment to lock in a higher yield because there are higher yields being offered in different places.
And tips could be a way of locking in some protection against inflation because what you want your cash to be doing is keeping pace with inflation at the very least, because if it's not, it's losing.
You're losing money effectively and you're losing purchasing power.
I have some money sitting in a high-yield savings account that's earning 3.1 percent.
So I'm effectively losing money as the days go by because, as we know, CPI is 3.4 percent.
I was going to ask you about I made a video, a very, very popular WSJ video about I bonds.
