They're maybe not
personally that meaningful or valuable to you anymore as otherwise there would have been some sort of emotion.
So indeed, it can kind of have this sort of meaning for people that, yeah, something might be quite wrong in the relationship.
And I think this is not something we studied explicitly, but I would speculate that this is especially the case for people who really want and really look for strong emotions in relationships.
If this is something that
you picture is important for relationships and, you know, how relationships should look like, then indifference is kind of indirect contrast to that.
And it might be something that is really making you unhappy.
And, you know, for these people, this might really be kind of a strong sign that this relationship is not the right fit.
But, you know, there could be other people who don't feel that way.
You know, people who are not necessarily looking for such strong, intense, passionate emotions.
And they might find indifference easier to deal with, actually.
So, I don't know.
I would say, you know, based on what we know so far, it doesn't necessarily have to spell doom for the relationship.
You know, some people...
might be able to deal with it.
They might be able to, you know, turn things around, work on it, you know, repair this kind of emotional bond once again.
So, you know, it might end up actually, you know, just being like a phase in the relationship that ends up kind of improving in the end.
Yeah, I think unfortunately right now it's difficult to give like a really kind of strong recommendation based on the evidence that we have because we simply don't have that much yet.
What I would say kind of more generally just based on, you know, what we know about relationships and relationship repair and things like that is that when there are some sort of issues in the relationship that are, you know, bothering people that, you know, they're dissatisfied with that, you know, they find uncomfortable.
Sometimes people tend to wait quite a long time, you know, before kind of repairing things.
