And that's why he said, even remember when he said, this is the hour where darkness reigns in this moment.

Of course, he didn't elaborate because he's actually using that to claim victory over them because he's coming back.
And so then it says, let us then approach the throne of grace and
with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
But it also makes sense of where he went to two chapters later, and I wanted to read this.
You remember the real controversial paragraph in Hebrews 6 where it's like,
Yeah.
It's impossible for those who have been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the word of God, the powers of the coming age, if they fall away to be brought back to repentance because to their loss, they're crucifying the son of God all over again.
And without getting into that debate again, which we've done in past podcasts, what I find fascinating, because I think
a paragraph later, it goes in with what we're talking about in James.
He says, even though this is verse nine of Hebrews six,
We speak like this, dear friends.
We are confident of better things in your case, things that accompany salvation.
God is not unjust.
He will not forget.
And he starts talking about your work and your love that you have shown him as you've helped his people and continue to help them.
We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end in order to make your hope sure.
We do not want you to become lazy.
