Everyone else's brains are just really calm and confident, and um, I don't know, maybe if we were, maybe if everyone was just a bit more honest about their own neuroses.

I feel like that about parenting sometimes, like I just, sometimes I find it so hard, and from the outside,

everybody else seems like they've got it together and they've got these harmonious households.

But then I think, well, I actually have never seen Inside Another House at like 6pm.

So God knows what happens, but we don't because of the way that all of our lives are set up and we've

We live in our own little silos of parenting, it's like, we just don't get to see what other people are doing and how much other people are struggling.

And then everybody has this kind of curated, you know, picture of their lives on social media.

I don't get bored with playing songs live, but I get bored with rehearsing.

If I'm doing rehearsal with my band, I'll be like, I just don't want to play that song.

Some of the songs from my first album that I've just played one billion times, I've been like, guys, we know that.

We don't need to rehearse it.

But when it's live, I think it just becomes so much about the audience and the audience's reaction.

Like those songs that I'm probably bored of playing by myself or with my band in private, they just take on a whole new life when I'm playing the live because they're the favourite ones, you know.

And I just look at the audience and I see them smiling and I see them crying and hugging each other and singing along and just

It's just the best thing ever.

So I think there was probably a period in my 20s when I was a bit, you know, like I'd pull back from those songs a bit because I'd feel like I just...

I shouldn't have to play these every time and I'm better than this now.

And my ego was like, you know, I've moved on from this.

But now I've just come, for a long time now, I've just come full circle and now I'm just so grateful to have those songs that people have carried with them for so many decades and still love.

And I can see how amazing that is that, you know, the songs have that longevity.
