I downloaded quite a few articles and papers before embarking on this journey.
And without having to sort through them for relevance, it's taking me quite a while.
Which, given our limited power situation, is far from ideal.
However, I was fortunate enough to download a batch of files concerning a recent discovery related to Mephitaka.
Or at least a portion of the discovery that has, for the moment, been provisionally associated with it.
The very same.

Oh yes, the library of below.
Some scholars have identified several of the recovered texts as being linked to Mephitica, and I'm only now beginning to understand why.
Many of the manuscripts appear to have been encoded using a method unique to a series of Mephitican writings recovered from the ruins of a Roman monastery in the 1970s.
The text of greatest significance seems to concern a version of the Great Flood.
If it proves to be as ancient as suspected, it may represent the earliest recorded flood narrative ever discovered.
There is a chapter within a text referred to as Aminos Fragment.
Apparently, a rough translation of a word inscribed upon the incomplete manuscript that contains various rites and rituals intended for the banishment of evil powers.
Unfortunately, the rituals as fragmentary as the book containing them.
All are still in the process of being translated.
However, what has been translated appears to concern magical remedies for specific forms of evil.
The categories are many and varied, yet our problem seems best to contain within the classification referred to as concentrated mortal harms.
Or, as the text elaborates, for those evils gathered upon the earth and among men, for the purpose of conjuring an uncommon wickedness beyond the power of any singular perpetrator of sin.
