In hindsight, maybe I could have done both for a little bit.

But, you know, to me, it was, yeah, it was just something that I was like, I really want to do this with my life.

people understand women understand their money um and I think I also was seeing it at a time where a lot of my mom's friends were getting divorced our partners were leaving them and they were left with either very little um or you know had to stay at work and I was like this is so wrong um yeah so I

Oh, so when it comes to like relationships.

Yeah, I'd say actually talk about it.

Like make the time to talk about it with your partner and find out, okay, what does financial success look like for us as a couple?

Like what are our financial goals together?

There's so many times I have conversations with even girlfriends where they're like, we just didn't talk about it.

And now they're in a situation where there's some of them are stay at home moms or they're working part time.

And they're like, now I feel too awkward to be like, can I get access to some of your super or, you know, or well, what if I want to go back to work?

So I think it's really having those deep and honest conversations, especially if you're going to have kids as well.

There's some really important conversations that need to be had, which are just not being had.

you know are we going to send our kids to what kind of school we're going to send our kids to am I going to be the one staying off work are you going to be staying off work how is it going to work child care costs um because what I'm seeing is a lot of and this again might be a semi-generalized generalization but it's kind of not from what I'm seeing women see their money as their money oh sorry women see their money as family money um men see their money as their money so men are seeing their super well that's my super women are not putting enough

nearly enough away or they're very much like, oh, I spend my paycheck on the kids.

So having really clear conversations and having it early in relationships and also how are we going to set up a bank account?

Do we have our own, and we're big advocates of always having your own emergency fund in your own name, but then, okay, well, let's have a group account and how are we going to pay for things and what conversation do we need to have if it's over a certain amount?

But, yeah, I completely agree.
