All of that is true.

It's just the way they were doing it behind the scenes wasn't healthy, in my opinion.

And so it can be hard to navigate, I think, for me now.

I still very much give back to charities.

But I give back to charities who have positively impacted my life.

For example, the organization where I receive my guide dogs from.

Each guide dog costs $40,000 to train.

And they give them free of charge to blind people like me through charitable donations.

And so I'm on my fourth guide dog.

So you can do the math.

Almost...

$200,000 of guide dogs have been given to me over the last 19 years, all from the same organization.

And they're like family to me.

They're incredible.

I see the way in which they've changed my life and they changed the lives of so many others.

So that's like an organization that I proudly have fundraised over $100,000 for.

And I think the work they do is so incredible.

I'm coming out with my second book in the fall, and it's a children's book about guide dogs to teach kids about what service dogs do.

And I'm donating 100% of my author's advance to the Mira Foundation.

So I find organizations that I really trust deeply.
