Another partner of mine is the CNIB, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, who again, I grew up attending their summer camps and learning Braille from them and getting my orientation and mobility training from them.

And I know the real world impact of what they do.

So it's an organization that I can confidently and safely support.

So I think it's just

Making sure you find organizations that align with your values on every level and doing due diligence, doing some sleuthing.

You know, there's definitely like Reddit threads out there about different organizations and like finding ones that feel like trustworthy, I think is important.

No, it's so important.

And there is information out there these days, and it's hard.

And I don't want people to be filled with skepticism.

I am ultimately an optimistic person.

I try to see the good in people.

Honestly, probably to a fault.

I am extremely trusting.

And that's the reality is, for lack of a better term, I blindly trusted.

I did not ask enough questions.

I went into this very naive and that is something I will never do again.

You know, there's like the glass door kind of websites where you can look at like, what is it like to work at that company?

Do research and see like, are they treating their staff well?

Are they doing the work they're saying they're doing?
