I think a lot of people I I often say that if we were to go into the juvenile j justice system and the adult criminal justice system, and I think somebody just put out a paper recently that I say probably fifty plus percent of the people in those systems are neurodivergent and don't know it.

And it's so interesting because until twenty thirteen, you couldn't be diagnosed with both.

So we're only talking about, you know, a little over twelve years.

And there are so many people that I have I run a couple support group in addition to a support group for the non autistic partners.

And in the couple support group, what I'm finding is more and more of the people participating are Aud.

And I think you're absolutely right.

I think more and more people are gonna find out that they're Audi HD or if they're ADHD, maybe they have um autistic traits, maybe they don't meet the full diagno diagnostic criteria and vice versa.

So yeah, I think it's really important to look at the whole picture and I love how your book does that.

And I know I have a lot of people that talk about being with a partner who has an addiction.

The addiction could be a healthy addiction.

It could be addiction to going to the gym and working out.

It could be an addiction to boating.
podcast-host
It could be an addiction to something that that is healthy, but it also could be an addiction to something that's not healthy.

And it also could be a stim, right?

So smoking, my father smoked three packs of cigarettes a day, did not know he was autistic.

He was stimming and he was addicted.
