It's the dud of a story.
It's the dud of a story.
It's the dud of a story.
Allison, hopefully you'll forgive me.
No, it's the mediocrity of not your reporting of the story, but the fact that we seem to celebrate things that have expired.
Why do we do this?
Why do we need to do this?
Forward thinking and just accepting of excellence, not the middle.
If everyone's special, no one's special.
I think it's don't sweat the small stuff.
If it's big stuff that's not where it needs to be, then maybe you can get your panties in a bunch about that.
But if it's the small stuff, keep moving on.
I would tell that person that they need to embrace taking a risk.
And no one in your life is going to teach you how to take a risk.
No one within the system that we live in teaches you how to give something up with the idea that you may lose it or you may get something bigger in return.
We're very much conditioned within our educational system to just play it safe.
And the way we evaluate taking risks is, hey, when you face that fork in the road, think about everything that could go wrong.
And once you think through all those things, you'll be prepared.
But the thing is that's not how we're wired.
That's not how the brain works.
