People who are working on tech startups basically work together.
And they're sharing resources and they're sharing ideas.
And so in Texas, there's a lot of movement.
There's very much like a cowboy spirit.
And so that's definitely an area where you're seeing a lot of new job creation, small business activity.
Well, 85% of us are wired to feel fear first.
So when you face that fork in the road, you're not going to be the one that jumps off the cliff.
You're going to be the one who thinks about, well, this X, Y, Z can go wrong.
And so we're basically taught within our society, you want to weigh the pros and cons.
But the scientists that study risk-taking with entrepreneurship-
have found that entrepreneurs, the way they behave is they actually are a combination of impulsive and adaptable.
They take action and then they mitigate the downside risk.
But what you're taught is don't do a goddamn thing until you figure out everything that can go wrong.
And it's a completely different way of working.
An essential part of entrepreneurship is to understand that failure is par for the course.
Like it's not a matter of.
you know, get all your ducks in a row and do it perfectly, things are not going to go right.
