You know, one of the things that you did touch on, a lot of people don't remember, my show started back in 1991, in May of 91.
And May of 91 was four months before normal new shows launched.
They normally launch in September.
I'm taking a little trip down memory lane.
When my show started, there were only four talk shows on the air.
Oprah, Sally, Donahue, and Geraldo.
Regis and Kathy Lee were considered a early friend show, not even a talk show, a daytime talk show.
So after me, there was Chuck Woolery had a show in September.
Ronald Reagan Jr.
had his own show.
John Teshen
Lisa Gibbons had a show together.
James Pratt had a show.
All of them got canceled a year later.
Then Maury Povich started.
And it wasn't another year later until Ricky Lake started.
So when I went on air, my show was immediately compared to the other four hosts that were on air at the time, which gave me a little bit of a buffer in between all the plethora of new shows that came.
