And yeah, and Shorten Street, I guess had just, had been out for five years or something and it was so cool.
And we were this little gaggle of tap dancers who, it was like during a Christmas episode and our Santa Claus had been in a car accident.
So we were in the waiting room.
Where did I get a taste for it?
Look, I always say that it's my mother's love of performing and my father's humour and gift of the gab.
My dad's very funny, very vivacious storyteller and my mother is a wonderful performer.
She was in Lim's Dance Company and if anybody is of the era then they will know.
So I think those two inputs gave me the taste for it.
Lots of time spent in
an empty theatre as mum's packing in and things like that, being able to just hang out and play around on the stage and in the seats and things like that.
Yeah, that's right, which I didn't quite realise.
Of course not.
And then, yeah, lots of sick days spent in dance rehearsal spaces, watching amazing dancers fling around the room while I just sat there in a pile of blankets drawing because there were no screens, which is good.
Hugely.
In fact, I really, I need to figure out a way.
I guess, financially and just trying to lock in times to travel with our work schedule is always a bit difficult because you can never quite tell in the following months or years when you're going to be required.
But I traveled with my mother when I was about 11 or 12.
We went to Turkey, Finland.
Finland, Turkey, and then Scotland, all for dance-related things.
We went to the Daisy Conference, which she did, I came with her, in Finland.
