But we also need to find there's so many people right now who I think that is a version of the story they're living.
Not necessarily literally, but just this deep hopelessness.
And if we can tell a story that things can be different, if we can tell a story that they have a role to play, if we can tell a story that they matter, then that is an act of radical change too.
I think there's a genuine lesson.
I think the first lesson is to elect leaders who are serious about governing and who believe in a very proactive approach for governing.
But I think in some ways to me, it's like the second side.
If you wrote a sequel to Abundance, I feel like it would be the communication side of it.
And if we believe that there is a crisis of faith in government's ability to do things, I think there is an obligation to not just do things, to not just make it easier to do things, but to tell the story of doing things.
In 2023, 2024, I was driving through Michigan and there was a sign somewhere that was like, this road is being paved because of the bipartisan highway bill.
And it's like barely any Republicans voted for that piece of legislation.
And that is how we are marketing it.
Why wouldn't we be leaning in?
I mean, like Democrats fucking did this.

And I just think you need to govern at the speed of the modern attention span.
And there is such a laid back approach to, you know, in eight years, this is going to be phased in.
