In a decade, this is going to be built.
That does not meet the urgency people are feeling.
And to restore the bond between the public and government, there needs to be that urgency.
You can't fake it.
And I think that is one of the challenges.
There are a lot of different things in politics you can fake.
You can't fake a true love of the place and the people you're representing.
And the mayor doesn't.
The mayor truly loves every single New York City resident.
Regardless of what they may say about him, he just loves this city, and it comes through.
I think there couldn't be a better job done, at least on the left populist side of the spectrum, of articulating that this is a labor of love.
I think Trump supporters are having a very good time.
It's abstract to us.
But there was a joy for when he was campaigning.
It's like almost a cultural phenomenon of what it means.
And you're wearing your Trump hat or your Trump sticker like a badge of honor.
And I think there's something to that of like something people can take pride in, something people can see themselves in where they belong.
And to me, it does relate to the power component of people feel a mix of factors from like globalization, economic factors to them, like the influence of social media.
People feel just so small.
And if you can bring them into something that makes them feel big, which is what populism should be at its best, there is joy in that process and it needs to be reflected.
