And yet we're the fourth largest party in the country now.

So things are changing at an incredibly quick pace.

And I think we could see the next government be the first left government in Ireland.

Well, of course, I'd like the Social Democrats to be the main movers in it.

Well, I think we see votes from everywhere, particularly as people are looking for an alternative to the politics we've had.

Well, I suppose when I was knocking on doors in Galway West, I got voters from people who would have voted for Sinn Féin.

I got voters from people who would have voted for Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael.

Because ultimately what most people want is to feel like they're getting something for all the taxes they pay.

To feel like their hard work and the state is looking out for them and is trying to build a society that looks after its people.

And that's what we bring.
