Some of you may not be aware, but but but Nicholas, it's not always been Nicholas, but it's it's actually been in existence seventy-five years. podcast-host

And the reason I remember is because seventy-five years ago, I s my mother was uh someone who ran the fundraising galas for Variety Children's Hospital in Miami, which was the original. podcast-host

hospital before it became Miami Children's and now of course Nicholas. podcast-host

So I it was kind of when I was sitting there and w I was seeing the podium and and it said seventy five years, nineteen fifty to twenty twenty five, and to think that my mom in like the mid mid fifties was running there podcast-host

uh those those um those programs. podcast-host

Uh and uh so it's quite it's kind of a a real throwback. podcast-host

But it's it's offering a um they're spreading i you know out of Miami into into into Broward County and they're also going to be partnering with Broward Health, which is gonna be really exceptional as well. podcast-host

So there but they're they have all kinds of specialists. podcast-host

They had twelve rooms, twelve uh examining rooms and they have uh it's cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, um podcast-host

uh reconstructive surgery. podcast-host

Um the each room has a beautiful picture done by uh by by students at our public schools here and the theme was for the Everglades, so it's artwork in each room. podcast-host

By by children, celebrating the beauty and and the positivity of of the community and certainly of the uh of the Everglades. podcast-host

And um it's the the motto of Nicholas is where your child matters most. podcast-host

And uh what I say aft is is is to me it's where every child matters most, and that's what Jack what Nicholas Center does. podcast-host

So we're really proud to have them. podcast-host

uh in this community and uh a part of our community and they'll be doing additional uh as I said, they'll be spreading out further because of their involvement and commitment with uh that's going to be taking place with Boward Health. podcast-host
