Um, the Hachisuus.
Um and farming doesn't mean they're selling vegetables.
They were stuck worm farmers.
So that's another misconception.
They don't the my husband never sold his vegetables.
Now Andrew, second son who helps me
He is starting to sell things like go uh sesame, mochi, uh glutinous rice.
Uh he sells wheat to the one of the bread shops.
Um my husband was a free-range egg farmer, but um after the silkworms went wherever they silk business went wherever it was, where it went, Vietnam or Thailand or whatever, um my husband's parents uh started a b the father started a business of taking care of chickens.
Raising chickens from chick day one, chick two.
What what makes somebody a farmer is that they're growing food for the family.
Right?
So and they're having an agrarian lifestyle.
Okay, so that's what makes them a farmer.
And so and especially rice.
So if you're not growing your own rice, like my husband's father wanted to stop because it's really it's a lot of work.
And uh and the kids were still small.
And so my father um my my husband said, If if I don't grow rice, I'm not a farmer.
You know, and so he identifies as being a farmer.
um deeply.
