We spent the summer writing the recipes.

First book is hard.

Um we were photographing I started photographing in two thousand ten.

Yeah, um yeah.

So I knew and I was I'm a planner and and and a lot of recipes I go to my husband, you know, 'cause he was the Japanese cook, I'd say, Okay, how do you make Niku Jaga?

This much, this much, this much.

And so then I'd go at first I would just I would f um take a measuring cup, I'd do it and I'd I'd I cook by feel, but you can't cook by feel for recipes.

That's not how it works.

So I would measure out like fifty C Cs of soy sauce and I would just take a notes and then I would use what I thought and then I felt and then I would m take the the measure.

But

After time went on um through the summer of doing this, I actually quickly segue to I wrote all the recipes to make sense and then I went back and tested them.

You know, and that I realized I had a skill because I had been teaching cooking for, you know, and and I had been cooking.

Recipes should make sense.
