And, you know, because of COVID, it was changing the way the hospice could accommodate the family.
Um, Kate had um uh she's a a very successful woman.
She has an incredible job and she was busier than ever during this time.
And she would often attend meetings in, you know, bars, restaurants, etc., with clients.
And one supplier that she'd known for years.
Ultra meeting and she noticed that during their meeting he was flirting with her.
And she said it felt good, it became an escape from the very sad
and lonely situation that her family were dealing with at the time.
The pair would find excuses to meet up and shortly afterwards they had their first kiss and
and then they ended up having sex.
Um
Kate said that while she knew it was wrong, it allowed her just for a moment to forget the horrible truth that her husband would soon be gone.
Um, her husband did pass away, and she continued to see the man in secret because he was in a long term relationship for a short while.
He had actually told her that he had an open relationship, but she knew this wasn't true.
During this time Kate confided in a few of her friends and told them that she'd cheated on her husband whilst he was terminally ill, and that she was seeing this man.
Unfortunately, one of her friends um was was so disgusted at her behaviour that she set up a fake Facebook account and messaged Kate's affair partner's girlfriend, telling her about the affair.
