Pope Leo, Chicago style Pope himself.
He released a 42,300 word encyclical warning of the risks of AI talking about how we do not need to normalize generative AI in society.
And I think it's really interesting for a couple of things.
I would love to have a war between magic and science.
That would be great.
Didn't expect to find myself on the side of magic, but here we go.
So it seems like one for the ages.
But also, I think this really settles the argument once and for all, not just because it's a really well-articulated, he's very smart, it's a well-articulated argument.
He is a spiritual leader and people will hopefully listen to him and take his argument seriously as he doesn't have an economic stake or government stake in the proliferation of AI.
But most importantly, I think this proves to anyone who says that they can't write a 10-page essay without AI
The Pope wrote a 43,000 word encyclical without AI.
You kids can't write your own encyclicals.
You can't write a 10,000 word encyclical.
And we all know what an encyclical is.
So I'm not going to waste our time defining that.
All I'm saying is you don't need chat GPT.
You just need to channel the direct voice of God.
OK, so if you're using chat GPT, if you're using chat GPT right now, it maybe it's just because you don't have God inside of you and you need to let God speak through you.
Have you considered that?
Oh, it's a well-researched, well-written essay.
