I've got some questions.

Trump is denying that the US munition stockpile is dwindling.

I'm seeing a lot of headlines about how our dwindling munition stockpile is a threat to us.

I am seeing them mostly from conservative news sources.

I haven't seen a lot of I've read a BBC report, but other than that, I've seen a lot of CNN, Fox News.

So I'm curious as to what the angle is, especially considering that Trump seems to be in denial mode about this.

What's the reality of this story and why, as a follow up question that I'm already asking Chad, why is this suddenly so prevalent in the discourse?

So it's these specific munitions, and correct me if I'm wrong, but what you're describing here is kind of a disproportionate response, as in we are using very expensive munitions to defend uh in a way that maybe overkill for drones.

Like you're saying this these are designed to stop fast moving ballistic missiles, and therefore uh we are we're using something that could stop a much larger threat on these drone strikes, and thus exhausting our stockpile.

Is that is that how that's w of those specific munitions?

Is that the correct summarization?

They are really exhausting our defensive stockpile by like a a broad attack in in many ways, not just drones, but by forcing us to respond over and over again.

Uh one one related question I want to ask is what about Tomahawk missiles?

Wha how I believe I read that we fired about a thousand of them in this war.

Or what's our stockpile looking like there and does that really affect the calculus here?

And this is something we talked about in one of our early Iran episodes, but uh you know, this isn't to condemn the people of Iran in any way.
