And no, it's and rather to say that they've been extremely resilient over the past century, but
Americans are experiencing a decreasing level of comfort.
Um, and some of that comfort is, you know, quality of life, and some of that comfort is being able to deny the realities of war because we're not facing casualties a lot of the time.
Um, we have a pretty high standard of comfort globally.
And I think other countries do understand that Americans, uh, while our government is punishing and hurting its people, arguably more than if not ever before, than um, you know,
a uh hurting people en masse of its own citizenship.
Of its own citizenry.
in ways that are unprecedented and especially unprecedented in the past century.
While that is happening, we are still as citizens really protected from the realities of war.
I mean we don't absolutely After Vietnam, when body bags were aired on TV, uh our government realized that the people knew too much.
You know, that that was too strong an image for civilians to see and we really get protected from that kind of thing.
So I I think you just to back up what you're saying, uh
Um
we are very averse to civilian casualties, which I do think is a good thing, but I don't think that we should think of civil c civilian casualties in any other country as any less of a tragedy than American civilian casualties.
But culturally we are.
We're very protected from the idea that that can happen in a war while we're causing destruction elsewhere.
And not only that, but you know
people riot it over the cost of eggs here.
You know, we we I mean they didn't riot, but people people
