So this is not a big deal.

And this has happened to us.

Just we moved into a new house about five years ago and we present little, because we have these three adults living together and some people might not know what the relationship is.

And, and they like, is that a relative that lives with you guys?

Is that a kid or a friend?

And if somebody asks, we're like, you know, my husband will say, oh, well, we're polyamorous.

And that's my other partner.

Yeah, just as simple as that.

And every time, at least to our faces, it's like, oh, okay.

And then it's not like they didn't talk to us afterwards or they didn't want to associate with us.

So I think that's how we normalize it.

We put a face on it and act like it's not that big a deal.

Like when I'm out in the world, I try to use words like metamor or my boyfriend or my husband's other partner.

And in some situations, it's easier than others.

I mean, for a while before my book came out,

The gym was my safe space, and I had all my lady friends, and we would save mats for each other and talk.

And I was kind of reluctant to bring this up, because you're just having a conversation, like, what did you do over the weekend?

Yeah, yeah, how do you bring it up?

You know, I went to a concert with my husband and my metamor, and you're like, do they know what that means?

What if they don't like me anymore?
