Well, I think the industry is at a very important moment, and it is both between capitulation from these executive leadership teams as well as cutting around the edges.
And these journalists are really the people who bear the brunt of the pain of that.
Because lower resources means more work falls onto less amount of people.
And as these shakeups happen, it's a concern for the legacy of journalism as a whole.
Yeah, I mean, I think that as it relates to the CBS news layoffs today and CBS broadly, I think that's less politically motivated than a lot of other cuts or other actions we've seen in the industry, at least in terms of how they're messaging that internally.
It doesn't feel like there were cuts in specific divisions.
There were cuts across the entire newsroom.
But I do think that in other avenues of the media industry, there is a lot that is changing in terms of the political nature of the industry and how leadership really reacts to administrations.
Well, and the irony of all of that reporting is that, oops, I don't know.

sorry, is that that was reported specifically by Barry Weiss's The Free Press, and now she operates CBS News.
I will say these most recent cuts were made without, sorry, without relation to Barry.
Barry did not have a say in the specific people who were cut in this round.
But
Going forward, that might not be the case.
Internal messaging is just that these layoffs have been decided a long time ago, and Barry's not the person that is enacting these changes at the moment.
But I think this sort of gives her more space to reshape the network in her image, which is the end goal here.
No, I think that it's early on in her tenure.
And so David Ellison has wanted to cut around the edges of CBS News before he bought the free press, right?
And so these were planned a while back.
