And so I don't think she had a specific say here, but she certainly will going forward.
And this sort of sets the stage for her to do so.
Well, she's going to certainly make some hires.
There's been rumors and status has reported that she's been looking at potentially hiring Scott Jennings or potentially hiring Brett Beyer, which he says that's not the case.
He's under contract with Fox News anyways, but she's going to make some hires, I imagine, that will shape CBS News in a way that it wasn't before based off of her editorial direction.
Yeah, I mean, he certainly is Trump's biggest defender at CNN and makes that very well known.
I'm not sure if that's something that would even be of interest to him.
He seems like somebody who has political aspirations as well.
So I'm not sure if, you know, media is necessarily the track that he wants to take now.
But I have heard that that is something that Barry's looking into.
Right.
And also, why would they want to?
I mean, I think Brett has a pretty plum gig at Fox News.
He's getting paid a lot of money.
And I don't think I'm sure David Ellison is going to invest a bit, but I don't think his priority is in news.
And so I'm not really sure how she's going to attract the kind of talent that she wants.
I mean, now I guess internally people take stock of what's left within these organizations and try to make it work for the future of journalism.
They still have work to do.
They put their heads down and they do their work.
Hopefully, you know, they have enough resources to do their job and aren't hindered in any way from doing that by the editorial powers that be.
