I mean up until this point Tyra says that Shandy had never d publicly discussed this interaction as non-consensual.
So Tyra just feels like she was done dirty.

The one really important thing here is that the documentary also shows a cut of Tyra Banks talking to the models after the fact about cheating.
And Tyra wants to make explicitly clear that she did not initiate the conversation around cheating, which I had actually thought she had when I watched the clip.
In summary, Tyra says that the producers purposely withheld the information that Shandy had come to view the events in Milan as a sexual assault.
And Tyra feels that having that framing withheld from her.

Yeah, but what you're describing is
more journalistic than documentary, I would argue.
And that's kind of the crux of this issue.
In journalism, there's such a thing as no surprises policy, where you kind of let people know what's coming in a story, you give them a chance to
react to it or comment on any allegation or anything said about them.
But
That doesn't really always happen in documentary.
In documentary, you often want to get people's first reactions or want to have them be surprised, or you want to create tension between what participants know, you know?
Like there's that trope of like being shown footage on an iPad and having to react to it for the first time, you know?
Like that wouldn't fly in no surprises journalism.
