They're arguing that there's not enough evidence to support that, and that while he made it look like someone came in through their garage door, broke in the door, went into his truck, took his gun that he has the right to carry or whatever, out of the console of his car and shot his wife, they can't find the weapon, there's no other DNA.
So far that we've heard in the courtroom, there's been no...
evidence or other DNA suggesting that there was this intruder.
The only fingerprints they found on the door belonged to Caleb, which, again, you likely can assume if you live in your home, you're going to touch your door.
So that is something the defense brought up, too, is we don't know when Caleb may have touched his door.
But what it's looking like right now is the prosecution is trying to paint a picture of he shot his wife while his kids were asleep, lied about it, staged an intrusion and disposed of the gun.
So the biggest thing that they've talked about, and granted, we're very early on in the presentation of evidence, is the fact that when the police investigated the garage door when he came in, they were really focused on the doorknob and the hinges and the locking mechanism, basically, for the locks in the deadbolt.

Like, pry it open the way that you would expect in a typical break-in.
One of the things that they kept talking about over and over again is how the locking mechanism folded inwards.
And I guess normally, according to police who testified, it would fold outwards.
