There's two components to it.
There's one, what it does to soccer in America amongst the American audience, right?
Because we know that the World Cup is a time when a large portion of the country who never pays attention to soccer at all will actually pay attention.
And so I would equate it to like,
you know, a lot of churches on Easter, all of a sudden, Hey, I didn't know the congregation was this big, right?
Like there's a lot of people that are like, yeah, okay.
You know, it's worth my time, you know, this Sunday, you know, and I always am interested when you go to one of those services and the preacher, you know, sometimes they're like, where are you guys all year?
You know, it kind of wags the finger at them.
And I always think, well, that doesn't really make them want to come back.
I always feel like if you're the preacher, you go, okay, this is my chance to,
to convince this group of people that this is worth doing every week, not just once a year.
And so in soccer, I would say, for those of us that love it, this is our chance to put the team in front of an audience, an American audience, and go, this is worth your time, not just during the World Cup, not every four years, but all the time.
It's worth your time.
American soccer, we're good at this.
This is fun.
And Americans love a winner.
And so if this team fails again,
in a terrible way, you're going to take that entire congregation and they're going to leave and they're not coming back again for four years.
And so that would be the worst part.
Now the flip, the other side is, it has become painfully clear to me, Seren, that much of the rest of the world still thinks that we don't get soccer at all.
