I looked at the house yesterday and this morning the solicitors rang and said, I said, what do I do?

Do I pay off my mortgage?

And I said, we have a desperate cheap track rate.

Or would I think about buying the house?

And Tom said, Kathleen, I'd go for the house.

It's well worth the money.

Fully furnished, nine years old, everything in it.

And he said, you'd have a bit of property in West Cork.

He said, can you afford to pay the mortgage?

Well, I said, I'd have to stay working.

So I rang the solicitor's office and I said, could I make an appointment?

And she said, next Tuesday.

I said, no, it has to be today.

So I went in to the solicitor and

I went in and I told him my story.

I said, what do you think?

And he said, I have a friend, retired doctor in that estate.

I'm going to ring him.

And he went out and he rang me, came back and he said, Kathleen, if you're not buying it, I'll buy it.

It's a great bargain.
