Hey everybody, you are welcome back. I am in studio in Galway this week and the lovely Kathleen Barrett has travelled all the way up from Cork on this glorious bank holiday Friday. How are you Kathleen? Very well, thank you. You're welcome to Galway. So we were sitting having the chat before we came in here. We were waiting. So we've got chatting and we've had a catch up. But I suppose now we're going to talk about the reason why you've come up here. And that's to talk about your wonderful husband, Ned. And I would love to hear where did you meet Ned first?
Well, we knew each other because my sister married his brother. Oh, they were already going out together before we met. Very good. So we just happened to get a spin from the same guy to dancing in a scheme. When I was 15, he was 17 and he was kind of a bit of a wild one. Caught your eye. Yeah, in a way, I suppose. First night, yeah, we did. He went away for a few pints after lending. We went away into the rents hall and that was it. He came over after and we were together ever since. I was 15, he was 17.
God, that was the way back then. Like you hear, I hear that a lot of brothers and sisters get married, like two sisters to two brothers, that kind of thing. And
The strange thing about it was his parents, his father and his father's sister married a brother and sister as well. So this was the second generation of the happening. Yeah.

So you met. So he was, you know, you were kids 15 and 17 when you think about it now. But I suppose you started going out then. What was what was Ned's character like?
Oh, Ned was wild. Coincidentally, my mother was one of the first bus drivers in Ireland and she had taken them to school. Wow. So she had the history of them before they met us. She had put him off the bus too. Take a mouse out of a matchbox or two empty pockets from rice. So she had the history of the Barretts before she left her two daughters.
