But I finish on this note that I'm glad that he went before me because I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone.

I'd have hated to think that his heart would have hurt like you have to hurt when you lose the love of your life.

So I'm glad that his eye had to go through that, not him.

Yes.

And I say that when some of the counsellors have said to me,

we're humans we're not meant to be alone so stop ruling out meeting someone but I say what happens in the next life if I did meet someone else I said no what could I do you know you have the belief you'll be together he's just waiting for you yeah he's taking his rest the long-earned rest

And I could nearly see he's above there now and he's raising a point to me and saying, good on you.

He wasn't a man of many words, but he left me know that he was very proud of me.

And on one particular occasion, my son's wedding, he wasn't a man for speeches.

But he stood and said a few words that day and he just turned and he said, I have to thank Kathleen for rearing the kids and doing a brilliant job.

And like I knew what it cost him to say that because he wasn't a showy.

Look, I was 21 and I had a baby and I was living in a mobile home and he came in on my birthday.

He had a bouquet of flowers and he couldn't bring it over to me.

So he caught me and threw it across the thing.

There you are now, don't say I didn't bring you flowers.

You know, so for him to actually say something like that.

Yeah.

He'd be proud and he'd be very proud of the four kids and what we've done and what he's left after.

Yeah, legacy.

Yeah.
