Now, if you're an average mileage driver, you'll be fine.
But if you're a bit above average or way above average, you need to be really careful about that.
And you need to make sure you're...
specifying at the time you sign the deal that I need this amount of mileage.
And that means, of course, the deal will change.
So the headline rate that you see on the advertising, your new car could be this per month on your driveway, that's going to change.
Leasing for an individual is a relatively new thing.
And it can make a lot of sense.
It is actually ultimately the cheapest way of financing a new car.
Because all you're paying for, you're essentially paying a monthly rental on a car.
That's what you're paying for.
So there's very little in the way of deposit.
Usually the deposit is only the same as the first monthly rental.
So it'll only be a few hundred euros in most cases, as opposed to the many thousands that a deposit on a PCP or a higher purchase deal would be.
But at the end of it, you don't own anything.
At the end of it, you just hand back the car.
And again, there will be mileage and condition limits on that as well.
So you do need to be very wary of those too.
Again, leasing is usually two to three years.
There is sometimes the option to extend a lease.
