But you do seem to reserve particular ire for Governor Newsom in this book.
He's the only person in contemporary politics that you reference by name and not particularly warmly.
Okay, but perhaps it's that I'm too far afield to know the difference between fiction and non-fiction.
That's okay.
It's so interesting the different views people have of parts of the world, because I speak for lots of American friends on this show who believe that the UK is just crippled by knife crime because of the lies that J.D.
Vance tells.
And they are lies like knife crime is not this endemic issue in the UK that people believe, you know, it's not their fault.
They believe it's all they're being told.
The flip side is here in the UK, we think of California as the promised land.
We think of it as the part of America that is booming, that is progressive, that is outpacing the rest of the country economically and socially.
